The BCS Young Professionals Information Security Group is proud to announce its first event, and invites you to join us and our panel of industry experts for a talks and a discussion on how to develop a career in Information Security.

Joining us on the evening will be Paul Dorey, Chairman of IISP and a Visiting Professor at Royal Holloway, University of London, Richard FitzHugh, consultant in Business Continuity at Needhams 1834 and Mike Case, a specialist Information Security recruiter and Director of Red Top Resources. Together we'll be discussing the best ways to create and develop a career in Information Security with the chance to ask questions from the panel and then network over refreshments.

Chairman, Institute of Information Security Professionals Visiting Professor in Information Security, Royal Holloway College, University of London Former CISO BP PLC & Group Operational Risk Director, Barclays Bank Paul Dorey has over 20 years management experience in information security and established one of the first dedicated operational risk management functions in Europe. At BP he built and managed Information security, BCP, Privacy and Information Management Standards & Services globally across the corporation, including the digital security of process control systems. Prior to BP, he set up and ran global strategy, security and risk management functions at Morgan Grenfell and Barclays Bank.

Paul has consulted to numerous companies and governments, was a founder of the Jericho Forum, is the Chairman of the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP) and for several years sat on the Permanent Stakeholders Group of the European Network Information Security Agency (ENISA). As a Director of Security Faculty he is also working in the security industry to build programmes that support knowledge sharing, security team performance improvement and personal development.

Mike has a strong record of delivery within the recruitment marketplace, including implementation and management of a $30m EMEA program, the management of the impact of three separate mergers, as well as working with a variety of companies, divisions and joint ventures. To date he has placed in excess of 300 candidates into roles.
