Sarith Chandra


Sarith moved into Information Security due to his interest in the field. Since he has worked in IT, he went about laying a strong foundation to his Security career by doing an MSc in Information Security by Distance learning at Royal Holloway, University of London.

He was offered a duplex job with a market leading Payment Service Provider as a Technical developer/Security Officer. On the job, he got involved technically with all aspects of Security (Administration, Audit, BCP, PCI DSS, Networks etc). Sarith enhanced his audit knowledge by completing the ISO 27001:2005 Lead auditor course and demonstrated his knowledge in the domain by achieving the (ISC)2 CISSP certification.

Sarith is volunteering his time to build a BCS Information Security community of excellence for Young Professionals both within the UK and beyond.

Jonathan Haddock


Jonathan has worked in IT for over 10 years and has moved from managing a school network of 400 devices to managing many corporate networks with different IT systems including Microsoft domains and Exchange. He also works with software and hardware firewalls and is co-author of the PSLogonFailures script which helps to prevent against brute force attacks against remote desktop servers.

Jonathan has attended a number of security training courses covering penetration testing, vulnerability assessment and web application security and has a keen interest in information security. Presently he is working towards an MSc in Professional Computing.

Jamie Rougvie

Website and PR Manager

Jamie has a BSc in Information Technology along with a number security related qualifications from organisations such as eLearnSecurity and Offensive Security. He has worked for many companies, improving their IT systems as well as continually trying to improve on his own skills. Since leaving university, Jamie has worked with Portcullis as junior penetration tester gaining experience in web application testing and social engineering. Jamie currenly works for CNS Group as a Penetration tester conducting all sorts of security tests for small and FTSE 100 organsations. Jamie has an article published in the BCS website Job Hunting section and his blog can be accessed here. Jamie is the Website and PR Manager for the YPISG.

Priyank Gahlot


Priyank is a highly skilled, resourceful & dedicated Network Security engineer with an experience in providing practical computer networking and security solutions to businesses across India. He has an immense passion for information security and forensics and wants to pursue these areas in his future career. Priyank is currently studying for a masters in Computer Security and Forensics at the University of Bedfordshire.
